I just got off the phone with Greg - thought he was in Newark, since I asked him to call me duriing his layover. But no, believe it or not he's still waiting at the Indy airport. The flight out was delayed, then they boarded everyone and had them sit there for awhile, and then they made everyone get off the plane because apparently Newark is completely shut down and not letting anyone land. The flight may still leave in another half or or so, or it may not. The flight from Newark to Shannon is obviously delayed, too, about an hour and 45 minutes, now scheduled to leave around 9:15 pm.
We're just waiting to see if the flights get canceled and Greg ends up coming home for another night. Poor Greg is so frustrated and tired of dragging his luggage everywhere. Also, since Wednesday is a holiday in Ireland, the people who are supposed to pick him up at the airport are off work, so if things get pushed back one more day, they might actually have to get pushed back 2 days, etc.
Today is March 15, the Ides of March. You know what they say, "Beware the Ides of March!" The important thing is for Greg to be safe, but he sure is ready to get over there!
